I find Summit hops to have a very strong onion character that is off-putting to me. Try Green Flash Double IPA to see what I mean. As always, YMMV.
 
Really? Hrm I guess that's what SMaSHs are for, finding that unique flavor each contribute. I'll see if I can find that onion too. Thanks for the heads up :mug:
 
If I concentrated and looked for it, it was there. It wasn't anything overpowering or distracting but because the grain bill was not very complex I imagine it did nothing to hide it. Also, the fact that there was only an ounce in there, and not a massive amount like an IPA, probably contributed to it being light.
