Last night I brewed a Hoegaarden White Ale. This morning when I went to check it, the top of primary fermenter was bulging up, and the airlock was actually blowing bubbles out of the top. The yeast I used was a Wyeast 3463 Forbidden Fruit Yeast. Is this an exceptionally lively brew? Is it normal for this type of beer. I have never had a beer as lively as this one, usually I am wondering why it is not doing much.

did you make a yeast starter?
what temperature was it fermenting at?

you might want to use a blowoff tube next time

No starter yeast. I used a yeast packet. When I added the yeast it was still a little warm (about 80 degrees).

no worries man, everythings all good

a violent fermentation is a healthy fermentation
just make sure your airlock doesnt clog with the foam or you could have an explosion on your hands

Sorry, violent fermentations do not translate to healthy, every strain is different.

Besides, the Op pitched warm, fermenting warm, no starter; these things alone do not translate to healthy fermentation;)

But yes, all IS good cause beer is being made!
