So excited, going to brew a vanilla java porter with locally roasted coffee pressed into espresso. May cold brew some at the end as well for aroma if it has all vanished. Going to add the espresso at flame out.

Was really excited for this one, thought i would share.

I have mine aging on white finishing oak cubes which are for wine and said to give off a strong vanilla flavor/aroma.

I cold brewed a qt of coffee with 4oz of locally roasted Italian dark roast and racked 3 gallons of porter onto it. Its been in secondary for about 2 weeks when I took a sample 2 days ago. Delicious coffee tones as well as a hints of oak and vanilla. Might add pure vanilla extract at bottling.
