well they were wrong then, weren't they!? The USPS would be able to crawl out of the hole with all our bottles going her there hither & yon. That fact alone cannot be denied. He who does is def narrow minded. Why do you think the AHA fights so hard for this??!:rockin:

The AHA does it as a service to homebrewers, which is their mission. Shipping homebrew certainly wouldn't hurt the USPS, but it's not gonna save it, either.

I think another 50Mil a year+ sure as hell will start helping! But yeah,a decent low price per 2,4 or 6 bottle box would help tremendously. I wish they'd just do it already...

Lemme get this straight...you think the USPS will make $50M per year off of homebrewers?

This would be great to get beers from breweries that don't supply in your area. This would also be great to trade a 6 pack of homebrew with another homebrewer states away.

I'm not even sure how big of a difference this would make besides maybe a slightly more convinient box. I mean really, tons of us trade beer using USPS anyway.

This is all good news I agree.

Are any of you guys worried about the beer sitting in a hot warehouse somewhere in the middle of summer? The thought of this bothers me.

Why would it sit in a hot warehouse somewhere in the middle of summer? It's called PRIORITY SHIPPING. I received a shipment in Connecticut from Montana in TWO DAYS.

Priority mail...not shipping. ****. I need to stop drinking on weekdays.

The USPS estimates they will earn $50 Mil a year by allowing people to ship beer through them. I don't' think Homebrewers was mentioned anywhere. As far as the amount goes, that's just the estimate from the USPS in the article.

I can see more people sending homebrew AND commercial beer to friends and family across the country.
