Using Nitrogen

From my understanding Nitrogen does not dissolve into beer like Co2 does therefore you have to use beer gas. My question is, can I force carbonate like I normally would then use Nitrogen to pour or would this not have the same effect?

you could, but your beer would eventually go flat. that's why beer gas exists...the co2 in it keeps the beer from going flat.
