I have some cider I would like to bulk age in a corny for the next 10-12 months. I have not aged in a keg before. Normally I assume you just purge O2 with co2 and and age. Then reapply co2 every so often because I dissolves into your beer and can compromise your seal. I saw on a different site where a guy used argon gas to fill his headspace because it does not dissolve in liquid and it is also an inert gas. Has anyone every done this? I just happen to have a a tank with a 80/20 argon/co2 mix in it.

Just happen to have a tank of mig gas? Do you have a mig welder too?

I don't have an answer but I just so happen to have a bottle of ore argon and 75/25 ar/co2.

Cheers!

I have a bottle of 75/25 Argon CO2 mix and it's expensive. Use nitrogen, it's a lot cheaper.
