Is this a good idea for a secondary? For beer or Mead?

I assume that is a plastic water jug. I've used one for secondary and never had a problem.

Should be fine if properly sanitized. I seem to remember the mouth on those being wider than a standard carboy, make sure you have a bung/airlock that will fit it.
