I have 3 gallons of cider in a 3 gallon primary, and I'm considering racking to a 5.5 gallon secondary-- will I have any oxidation issues given the empty space? Any other reasons this would be a bad idea?

Thanks

It might be ok for short term, but I wouldn't do it for anything longer for a couple of weeks. I'd rather leave it in the primary OR, racking out of the 3 gallon carboy, cleaning it, and racking back. Or get another 3 gallon carboy. Or three one gallon jugs.
