Hello All
That about says it all. Back when we were young and broke we made our own beer and wine. Then we were better off and bought it in a shop.
Now retired and a widow, I have access to a grape Vine and id like to use the excess grapes. This year: sour and very low alcohol. Should i add sugar?
Next year I'll time it better, and get hold of the right equipment. (We gave ours away years ago.)
I live in UK in the Midlands.

Best wishes to all.

Welcome! Sorry for your loss.
I'm very new to winemaking, so I'll refrain from offering advice. There are so many variables that will change the outcome. But in my opinion, the most important part is to enjoy the process!

Was it sour because the grapes weren’t ready yet? Here in the eastern US, I can get buckets of grape juice from California, Italy and S. America cheaper than locally sourced grapes. Can you get buckets of grape juice there? Also there may be local homebrew clubs that also have members that make wine, it would be a great way to get out and get information.
