I buy these by about the half pound normally and I'm used to AA content indicated in the 4.x range.
Well I got a new pack yesterday and this one say over 13%?

Does that sound reasonable?
If so I assume I'll have to adjust my recipes.

No, it does not sound close to US Tettnanger at all. I've never seen more than 6% AA content, and that was unusually high.
More likely an error. Who's the vendor?

Cheers!

That sounds like a missprint, which has been known to happen. I would advise contacting the vendor.

Did you by chance get Type45 pellets? Those have twice the alpha than Type90 and if that is combined with a particularly good crop then 13% could be possible. Either that or it's a typo.

The website description says 3.5-6%.
The only odd marking on the bag is "HP65E" if that means anything?

NB lists HP65E as the retail sky (scanning code) of their Tettnang hops. They definitely are not 13% AA.

Yeah I googled it and found it as the SKU on a different website. It was in the normal range on the other website. I'll just assume it's a misprint.
