I've noticed that a lot of the recipes in Clone Brews call for "US 2-row pale malt" as the base. But I see most suppliers list both 1) US 2-row and 2) US pale malt.

What's the difference between these two and which one is Clone Brews referring to?

Thanks,
SP

pale malt has a slightly higher processing temp then plain 2-row malt and so it has a bit more color and character. They both SHOULD be 2-row, which is the variety of grain. Either will work, the pale ale just has a different character and is a more traditional pale ale grain.
