Texas UNmalted barley

I have a few acres of 2 row malting barley growing, not sure if I want to bale it or try and harvest it to sale. any interest? preferably bulk

How well does it grow in texas? Is it feed grade? Was it grown with grazing grade insecticides Or food grade insecticides?

So far it's growing well here. I planted a few acres as a test plot to see. I have not sprayed any pesticides/herbicides

I'll be upfront, I already sourced some unmalted barley to grow myself on an eighth of an acre. So I wouldn't need yours.

But I know nothing about growing grasses. So I was wondering if there's anything you've learned or if you have any tips. Since I'm planting by hand, do you know if just sprinkling them on the patch of soil would work? Or would they have a better time getting planted? And how often do you water them?

would be much better if you used a drill/planter. The key is covering soil and firm contact to soil. If your going to do it by hand, id spread seed, drag something over the seed to cover seed then roll seed bed to make sure it is firm then water or wait for rain.

Very interested in some 2-row localish barley.
I have been using this forum for years for research but finally set up an account today just so I could join this thread. I am mid test run of my first home malting experiment and wanting to grow some as well. I have been trying to find a suitable barley and a site to buy it from for quite some time now.
I am wanting to plant a very small back yard plot so admittedly I don't need much for that from what I have read. As little as a couple ounces it seems but might try and malt some and even toast some unmalted and use that too.

You might call Blacklands Malt I have no idea if they would be interested but it would not hurt to try.
