Uh oh, it's gonna be a doozy. Or, 1.12 OG partial mash.

I batched a barley wine today. I was shooting for a 1.09 OG but the OG turned out to be 1.12 per my hydrometer. This is what I made.

10lbs 2 row
9lbs pale LME
1lb pale DME
2lbs Cara Red
1lb 60 crystal

3oz Cascade 1/2 oz at 60, 1 oz at 30, 1 1/2 at flame out
2oz Centennial 1/2oz at 60, 1/2 at 30, 1oz at flame out
2oz Chinook 1oz at 30, 1 oz at flame out

Pitched 23g of S-05 yeast. 1 pack re-hydrated in a starter since last night, the other pack was pitched dry. (Overkill, possibly)

I'm not even going to bother taking another gravity reading for a month.

Got my blow-off in place already. I'm pretty sure it's going to be a whopper fermentation.
