Twisted tea? Help

Hey guys!,
I am new to this and have brewed a few batches of beer already and loving the craft. Anyway, I have been searching the threads and all over the internet for a twisted tea clone and I cannot find one.

I know it's a malt beverage I just don't know how to go about the process. I need a good recipe. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

One possibility would be to use a sweet tea flavoring to a lightly hopped pale ale. If you have a light bodied beer you've brewed, take one pint of it and add a packet of crystal light sweet tea to go pack. they're designed for a 12 to 16 oz water bottle and have artificial (non-fermentable) sugar sweetners, so you wouldn't have an issue with refermentation. A more titratable method would be to use a liquid adjunct like a Mio's sweet tea flavoring. Either way you'll have to get the sweetness from an artificial sugar, otherwise it'll get too carbonated and or too high abv for the style. (in a very simplified explanation)

something along this line has been done with the summer shandy clones that use sugar free kool aid lemonade packets, but those are just going for adding lemon flavor, not sweetness.

To my knowledge these malt beverages are lagered and then carbon filtered and flavouring added to them. I would try and adapt a recipe for hard lemonade which would use cane sugar, champagne yeast and DME. Adding the lemonade (tea) and any other flavor boost at the end of fermentation

So far I like the options you guys have given me. The reason I'd like to give it a try is cause my girlfriend isn't really fond of beer and likes twisted tea or other hard beverages
