Hello, I've got different sized nipples on my mash tun and my kettle and remembering hosing sizes drives me crazy in my old age...

I'd like to convert to a consistent size and possibly go to quick connects/dis-connects.

I can't find a good article or posting on it - can I get guidance on what is the best common size for both mash and kettle (1/2, 3/8, other?)...I've been out of the hobby for a while, just getting back in and I see this new (to me) silicon tubing - is this the way to go?

And last, do you still use nipples on the output, or is there a quick connect setup that makes life nice an easy?

Thanks for any guidance!

I prefer the polysulphone ones, they are not so hot on the hands.http://www.williamsbrewing.com/QUICK-DISCONNECT-POLYSULPHONE-FITTINGS-C263.aspx
