I have a Johnson A419. Set for cooling mode. Set point is currently 40. Differential is 1. At 40 it kicks on, and at 39 it kicks off...BUT the temperature still continues to drop down to 33 even after the chest freezer has been turned off by the A419. The probe is dangling in the air in the Keezer.

I was hoping for tighter temp control.

Any ideas what I could do to tighten this temperature range?

Yes, it is empty. So I guess that means I should get some more cornies? :)

My guess is that the one degree diff is the problem, it leaves no room for error. There's no way that controller is exact so it's running excessively. My kegerator holds my beer at a steady 42f with a 5F diff, with minimal run time. My fermenter is set to 3f diff, that's as low as I would recommend.

Remember that when three's a full cornie in there, a 5f swing in ambient temp isn't a 5f swing in liquid temp.:mug:
