Hi all - curious if anyone has an all-grain recipe that they've liked? I've seen some old recipes based on a BYO replicator from years ago but there is some debate about the hops used in that recipe vs what's listed on Troeg's website etc.
Thanks!
I like this beer a lot and brewed a clone of it about a year ago based on what was in my "BYO Big Book of Clones".
5 gallons, OG:1.063, FG=1.017, IBU=55, SRM=11, ABV=6% <-- my OG was a bit higher, my FG lower, my ABV higher
Malt: 10.3 lbs pilsner, 2.5 lbs munich (20L), .25 lbs crystal 20L and .25 lbs crystal 90L. Mash 152F for 60 mins
Hops: 1 oz. Nugget 60 min, 1 oz. Cascade 0 min, .5 oz. Willamette 0 min; .5 oz Cascade and .5 oz Crystal in hopback (whirlpool addition for me as I don't have a hopback).

It was a good beer, but I can't say it was a very close clone. There's something unique about Troeg's ales IMO ... I'd guess yeast but I've heard John Trogner say, "we use the same as Sierra Nevada", so I'm probably wrong. Fun fact: the Trogner brothers and I went to the same high school.
Cheers.
