Does anyone have any experience with welding triclamp fittings into blichmann boilermaker pots? I'm looking into getting 1.5" ferrules added to my boilermakers to go electric, but the welder is concerned about the pots splitting.

Have thought about this as I hate the weldless leaking 1/2 inch out. I use tri clamps and would love to replace with a welded tri clamp. I have thought of electric as well.
