Ok, I have been looking at conicals and will probably be going with the Blichmann 7 or 14 gallon model as they will fit in my freezer. I looked at Brewhemoth and stout tanks, and the models they have wont fit. My fridge is 18" wide x 18" deep, height is not a problem.

So, my question is this. Do I get the tri clamp or standard fittings?

I have read many of the posts here on this, and everyone is all over the place. Some say that since the racking arm is weldless, the threads there negate the sanitary reason for TC's, but then others say they are easier to clean.

Is it worth the extra money for the TC's?

Does anyone have any other suggestions for a conical?

I have pretty much ruled out the plastic models. If I am going to spend the money on it, I want to get something to last a long time.
