Edit: Plan on getting there half hour before opening

it depends on what's available. you'd be out with cans within, idk, 30-45 minutes, but showing up a half hour before open, you could wait a couple hours for growler fills?

but there's a lot of time between now and september, so who knows.

I figured that during the summer season it would be busier, ie people taking a lot of summer trips etc etc. But i have no idea. I've heard all about the clusterfuck that is hill farmstead, so i was trying to get an idea as to what to expect, seeing as this is an extremely popular brewery.

This is probably to some degree true, but keep in mind tree house is less than an hour and a half from boston and less than an hour from hartford, so you have a *lot* of population in pretty close range - it's gonna be busy no matter what the season, if there's beer people want.

Now, if it's like last weekend, when they have TWSS and Eureka and Ma and Tornado, and no IPAs or Double Shot, it's probably a lot calmer...

Yeah that makes sense. I'm hoping i get there on a weekend they are canning julius or green. But hell, i'll take anything. I'm going for the experience and the beer.

Damn. Of all weeks to be in Waterbury.

Guess these HF growlers will have to suffice me until I can make it back to tree house

When do they update the tap list for the week?
Could kind of be any time really, but typically the deal is update happens around the time beer is packaged when Nate and the gang are confident it will be for sale as listed. Strategic measures are occasionally applied at times with specific needs like crowd anticipation or to promote a smoother distribution of the beer.

ok, just got home from my honeymoon. I'm exhausted and about ready to pass out but me and my wife are stopping at TH on Friday. I tried to read back a few pages but I just don't have it in me tonight... So here's my question:

What time is the best to get there if you want to be there for the opening Fri? I kinda want to get in and out to head back to NJ as soon as possible. Appreciate any help, thanks!

If you just want cans, get there for 6. By then the initial rush has died down and you'll be in and out in under 15 min. Only risk on a friday is that there are no new cans and the cans that were released on Thursday run out by 6. I will say, they have been pretty good about adjusting the friday can limits so that the cans last at least into the start of the day Saturday.

If you want growlers, then you're probably looking at getting there for 4. Unless, of course, they release something special... then you might be looking at 3.

I can deal with that, perfect. Thanks!
