I wish I had some bottles, though. I only was able to have it on tap at the brewery. They weren't selling any bottles of it to go when I was there.

I might have to take a trip to Austin soon, I mean San Antonio to see the sister in law.

Take that trip! :D
There are a lot of good breweries to visit in Austin and San Antonio. So many that you might not even have time to visit your sister in law. ;)

I was down last July and tired to sneak up to Austin with my father in law. Didn't work out so we went to Ranger Creek instead...

I'm headed to San Antonio at the end of the month. Recommendations?

Blue star, branchline, busted sandles. Definitely ranger creek, and freetails. Some good breweries are opening there

Great thanks. Was reading about Freetails and Ranger Creek. I'm probably going to have to find a descent place to eat to try all these beers. I'm going to have a 1 year old and a pregnant wife. I'm gonna be out voted when it comes to going to breweries.

Leave 'em at the hotel! :D

From what I recall Freetail is a brewpub and family friendly. Ranger Creek is in NE San Antonio, not the best part of town.

I still have to open that bottle of bourbon that I brought home. I just don't want it to be gone.

Free tails and blue star are brew pubs. Ranger Creek to me is not in a bad location it's in a industrial park.
Rasarios for the best Mexican food and big lou's for pizza. You might have a wait but both are amazing. I'll avoid the river walk. Over crowed and not many good places.

Hmmmm...my father in law (former Air Force) was making a remark about the NE section of town being a little rough. Certainly not as noce as other part, but I didn't feel unsafe or worried about my rental car.

I hate the River Walk. Never again.

True it's not the best part of town but definitely not the worst. I was fine in that area though I'm used to it lol. For beer, check out Gabriel near freetails, specs, twin liquor, or some HEB's/whole foods for bottles. Just search online and beer advocate for some places.

Also down the street from rosarios there is a place called the friendly spot. Out side and has a impressive tap/bottle list. Hope it's a nice day for that.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I already know I'm going to have to suffer through the river walk. Maybe I'll have her drop me off at one of the brew pubs for the day while she does the river walk :)

Blue star is not that far from it. Just a nice long walk down the river walk. Check the enquire out on the river walk. The oldest bar and has the longest single wooden bar in Texas. I walked from blue star to the river walk. It's a long walk but nice
