Just wanted to chime in and say...This Tor-pete-o just keeps getting better! Drinking a 22oz. and thinking that I might want to take it easy!
Sounds fantastic! Glad to hear it turned out so well.
On a related note, my Tricerahops clone is tasting great after only a week. I could be in the same smooth tasting trouble.

Just a suggestion to make it even more legit next time. SN beers are unfiltered so you can propagate the yeast from the Torpedo bottle dregs and use it in your next batch!
I propagated SN Kellerweis yeast and use it in all of my Hefeweizen's. IMO its better than WLP300. I did the same with Bell's Two Hearted IPA and use it in all of my IPA's. It's fun to do and cool to know that you're one of select few who brew with Sierra Nevada's proprietary yeast.
Anyway, Torpedo is a great beer and I'm glad it turned out well.
You inspired me to begin propagating from my torpedo. I have since converted this recipe to AG. I will be brewing a ten gallon batch tomorrow. Just waiting on a big starter.
