I bottled 4 beers before realizing I forgot to put sugar in my bottling bucket.
In my panicked state I decided to just add sugar to the four bottles

I put a whole Tablespoon in each.... Now realizing that was too much and I may have four explosive bottles, what can I do to salvage the beer?

I was thinking of letting it condition for one week and then just putting them in the Fridge to hibernate the yeast.

Any other ideas?

If you let it condition for a week then put it in the fridge it'll still be sweet. You may want to put them in a rubbermaid container with a lid and let them condition as normal. Then every day or so crack the cap on the bottles to release some of the pressure. They may turn out OK...

Thanks. Rubbermaid is a good idea. They are in spare bathtub now. I guess letting the CO2 out and having a flat beer is better than having a bottle break.
Flat beer is better than no beer..

not that I think it will matter, but depending on the batch size...

If you added the original amount of sugar to the rest of the bottling bucket (that was now 48 oz short), then it received more sugar than it was intended to as well. Like I said, probably won't matter if it was a decent size batch though.

Yeah i thought about that... It was a five gallon batch.
I think it will be allright.. Just over carbonated a bit.
I tend to stress out too much when something goes wrong and can't think clearly.
Need to RDWHAHB
Hopefully calmness will come with experience.. It was my third batch.
