I'm just getting into homebrewing so I am looking for equipment. Well I found a guy on Craigslist that I picked up about 400 12oz amber bottles. I have been cleaning and de-labeling bottles on and off now for a week and feel like I haven't made a dent.

How many bottles should I keep? I will give the rest to someone who needs them.

Smakudwn-thanks for the input
Jayinjersey - the extras will go to a friend in need it is my promise to you that no bottle will be wasted.

The number of bottles is dependent on your available storage space, or how long you want your pipeline to be. My storage space isn't particularly limited, although it becomes inconvenient when I get over 6-7 batches bottled. That's less of an issue than my realization over the past year that I really don't need any more than that around. Since I have 500 or so bottles, that means I need to divest myself of around 150 or so.
