I messed up and got too big of 10 gallon recipe for my 10 gallon igloo. 28 Pounds of grain. What do I do now?

Fly or batch sparging? I would split the bill or brew a 5 gallon batch instead. Or may brew 2 batches in one day and pitch different yeasts...experimental beer..Yeah!!

Ya I was thinking of lowering my grist/water ratio and doing two batch sparges????

Adjust your mash thickness to 1.1 quarts/pound. That's what I usually do if I'm making out my 5 gallon. Just a little less water, and make it up in the sparge.

I normally have to double batch sparge all my 10 gal batches (exept for my mild). It takes a little longer but works.
