Looking to make this but when it says add cold water is is cold from tap or cooled boiled water? Plus any tips

If your tap water is not chlorinated and not contaminated, either will be fine. If you have city water you need to get the chlorine/chloramine out first or you will have a bad flavor to your beer. Chlorine can be boiled off but chloramine needs to be chemically removed. A part of a Campden tablet will remove both and will do so nearly instantly.
