Just purchased several new ball valves and some open easy -- others are tight. Any recommended lubricant or will they loosen over time?

A man should never complain that the valves they use are too tight ;)

I would take the loose ones and throw them back in the bin they came from ....those hussies!


In all seriousness just play with the valve handle a little bit longer it will open up smoother for you. Most valves are self lubricating especially after pouring a few beers through them :p

make sure your valve is cleaned after use ...nothing worse than a unwashed valve
