Hello. I have posted a couple questions already and received some valuable help. As I find that I am gravitating to this site more and more, I thought I would do the mannerly thing and introduce myself if for no other reason than to prove to my wife that I do not completely lack for the social graces.
I am an aging, graying, expanding lawyer from the west side of Cleveland. I remember sampling some truly horrendous home brew back in the 1980s. Although I have been known to consume a good bit of good beer (see expanding, above) I never thought about brewing my own based on that experience until watching my brother in law brew an all grain hefe last spring. After sampling some of his earlier brews that evening, and being blown away by the difference in quality from what I remembered, I decided to give this hobby a try and got hooked.
As of today, I have brewed three extract kits (AHS Oatmeal Stout, Fat Tire Clone, Texas Red), two partial mash kits (Midwest Cascade Pale and California Steam) and am contemplating giving all grain a shot when the weather cooperates.
As I am sure is true for most of you, this site has been invaluable and I am much in your debt. I look forward to contributing where I can.
