I recently got a Miller keg with the threaded valve. I have been having a really tough time removing the valve. I read the other posts on here and was still unable to make much headway. Somehow I was able to move the black rubber ring, metal ball and spring. But now I don't know what to do. I'm unsure of how to get to the latch to set it free. Can anybody help>?

I just whacked the crap out of one of the little tabs with a small sledge hammer and a cold chisel. Moved the valve in a counter-clockwise rotation with the hammer blows. That inner safety catch mechanism didn't stand a chance against my mighty hammer.
