Picked up Chessimo and Shredder for my iPad. My chess training regimen is mainly correspondence games (8 in progress), tactics training via Chessimo and Shredder, and playing over annotated master games (try to get in 3+/week). Whenever I get a chance to attend another OTB tournament, I'll be able to see how much difference it makes.

Yes/no. The cows turned out to be pissed off horses. My brother got stuck in an electric fence running away. We ended up in a cornfield shooting kernels at passing cars. A few of them stopped but you know it's impossible to find a body in a grown cornfield. Jim Morisson's doppelganger was with us that night. Good times in the midwest.

I'd really like to play in another large tournament. Thinking of the Chicago Open either this year or next. The atmosphere at those large tournaments is really nice.

Canon L series lenses are the sh1tz, but there's fast glass available elsewhere.

Anyone know of a good wide angle lens? Tamron? Sigma? I'd like to get down to 14mm-ish focal length. Fast. Prime would be OK.

I ended up buying this wide angle. Will be evaluating next week.
