First time doing a Scottish ale so I thought I'd run this past the forum:

10.25lb 2-row
.75lb Crystal 120
.25lb flaked barley

90min mash @ 152°
60min boil

60min: 1oz East Kent Golding
15min: .5oz East Kent Golding

Wyeast 1728 Scottish Ale yeast

1-2oz toasted oak chips (probably soaked in scotch)

4.6% abv
26 IBU
11.7 SRM

Thoughts?

I would recommend pulling about a half gallon of your first runnings and boiling it down to a thick syrup before adding it back into the boil (towards the end). You will get some amazing melanoidin flavors that way: earthy, malty, complex caramel, toffee and dark fruit.
