I wanted to get some feedback. My very first beer is in the primary (Pale Ale) out of a True Brew Kit. I am getting anxious to kick off my next batch and was thinking either a Porter or Stout that is a bit more chocolatey (spelling?) I was looking through the recipes and because I have only used formal directions with my first batch, I am feeling a little overhwhelmed and reluctant to venture out into something that doesnt come in a kit.

Would it be advisable to try and tweak a Porter or Stout kit to make it more chocolatey, or just use a recipe from the forum. If going with a recipe from the forum, does anyone have one that is a bit more "step by step" for directions.

Look forward to the feedback

Primary 1: Pale Ale
Primary 2: TBD:
