I got my water report back, but I have no idea on if it’s terrible or good. So I am hoping that I could get some feed back from those that know. I have been playing with Brunwater, but only with the acid and gypson. Not sure if I need to add other items or not.

Thanks for any replies :mug:

It'll be fine. The chloride is a bit high, but you can add more in some cases. The acid and gypsum are likely to be your allies in your brewing with that water.

is there any way to lower your bicarbonates?
There are several methods. The cleanest is to run the water through an RO system which will remove close to 98% of it (and close to 98% of everything else too). If you don't want it all out you can 'remove' less by diluting down with RO water.

The water can be treated with lime or boiled. These are elaborate, time consuming and messy and won't get you that much improvement as your water isn't that bad.

The 0 alkalinity method is another approach. In it you add whatever acid you favor to the water until its pH is the desired mash pH. Then tell your calculator the water has 0 alkalinity to have it calculate any additional acid required for the malts. See the Sticky at the top of this forum.
