Used to store pickled punks?
for God's sake, man, don't keep us in suspenders!
(Get it? Suspenders? Red Green? Never mind. It was very funny to me.)
Found 2 cornies on CL for $25. That is $25 for BOTH.
Anybody want to guess the punchline (why I did not buy them)?
They were Cornish game hens.
They were actually Cornish Game Hens??
They were PIN kegs and not Ball
Be interested to know which ad you responded to? Was it even in Memphis?
And no, it wasn't mine![]()
Is that really so much of a deal breaker for you? Sure, you would have to buy a set of connectors for them, but $25 for two kegs is still a hell of a deal!
I'd have to say. Of all the possibilities. That was a let down.
They are also a larger diameter. Which means they won't fit where my other kegs do. My kegerator will hold 6 kegs, BARELY.
So, they would be $25, plus about $11 per post (shipped). Which comes to about $34.50 each, so it's not really a deal.
Unless you already use pinlocks, in which case it IS a deal.
ahh.. kegerator constraints. I understand that issue.
My entry into kegging came after I found a good deal on craigslist for a 5# tank, regulator, and a pinlock keg for something like $75. I had no problems with the pin-lock fitting into the gigantic fridge in the garage and ended up owning a couple more over the next couple of years, in addition to some ball-lock kegs.
But, then I moved the kegs out of the fridge in the garage and into a small kegerator in the dining room and the pin-locks won't fit in there at all. So, I'm sitting on a couple of pin-locks and connector sets that I can't really use right now.![]()
