We were supposed to be brewing a zythos ipa today and instead of 21 lbs of 2 row brewers malt it looks like we just mashed in with 21 lbs of 2 row 40l! I'm not familiar with this 2 row 40l will it still produce fermentable sugars? Or maybe we just created the best beer we will ever make. Lol
 
40l= 40 degrees lovibond, made from 2 row barley. This is crystal malt and will not ferment properly, if at all. The recommended addition is 5-10% of the grain bill, not to be used as a base.
