Well, it's about time I registered! I'd just like to start by saying THANK YOU to this forum, for I have two batches under my belt thus far and couldn't have learned the things I have without you guys.

So this is a Chinook IPA (from extract). I waited until fermentation was complete, gave it a few extra days to clean up, and then threw the dry hop pellets right into the carboy for 7 days. I just transferred it to the fridge to cold crash it, and I just had a quick question!

These are just yeast rafts, right? :D This is the best picture I could get. I took 20 minutes after transferring it into the fridge.

Also, do I need to take any precautions with the airlock now that it is in the fridge? Or since it's a glass carboy do I not have to worry about it sucking the sanitizer in?

Thanks everyone, and nice to meet you all. :)

Looks like yeast rafts to me, tinted with some hop gunk. An "S" type airlock would be better when cold crashing, as I have yet to see it suck the fluid back into the fermenter like a 3-piece.

If its the NB Chinook IPA kit, I just brewed this same beer, and had very similar situation after dry-hopping. I figured it was hop gunk.

Perfect, that is the airlock I have in it.

Yes it is! Is yours done yet? I can't wait to see how it tastes. I dry hopped with the Chinook as well as some Amarillo.

Thanks fellas!

Still have a few weeks left. Bottled on Monday. Going to leave them in the pantry for 2-3 weeks to carb up. I'll let you know when I pop one.
