Ouch!

IMO the worst part is that last second when you know the collision is imminent, and everything seems to be in slow motion as it happens. So many things run through the brain in that short time.

I hope your recovery goes quickly!

Had something like that happen to me while cycling. Guy turned and crossed my side if the street, I hit his front wing and rolled over the hood.

He drove off. I was not hurt aside from a few scuffs, my bike was OK but I did at least a grands damage denting that ****ers car though. Karma is sweet justice sometimes, I hope the same will be true for you.

Haha, Frosty knows what's up. I'm OK and I haven't fully checked out the bike yet, but I was able to ride it home. No collision happened because I laid the bike down. Had I not, I would have hit the bastard. It's just a bit of road rash and a pulled muscle in my shoulder. Thankfully I was accelerating so I was only going about 35 MPH.

The guy who drove off is a full fledged coward though. I hope karma exists for people like that.

The funniest thing though is one of the 3 people that stopped asked if I was OK to which I replied "Yeah, I just hope my tattoos are OK". I was more concerned w/ the work on my arm. :D

Had one of those happen a little over a week ago. Luckily only got a bruise (purdy one) sore muscles and a broken rear turn signal. I have always been told it is not a matter of IF, it is a matter of WHEN you will lay a bike down. It is sad that people do not pay much attention to their surroundings while in a speeding hunk of metal(or plastic).

Yep. People can be ********. It could have been much worse though. That burn on my leg turned out to be pretty gnarly. It looks WAY worse than it did in the picture.

I rode in the street for about 5 years. I was almost killed 3 times. I knew I was lucky then.

My son has wanted to ride a bike on the street for years. I have forbidden it. He was just hit waiting at a light by a chick texting at 50 mph. My truck was totaled. Her car was totaled. Both He & She walked away.

He hasn't asked about riding in the street since. Use your accident as a wake up call, don't ride with these idiots.
