This is pretty good, but it would be better without all the adjunct *******. The base beer and the double barrel treatment (rum and bourbon) seem up to snuff with other local barrel-aged shelf-turd offerings, although 12 months would be better than 6. Looking forward to their future barrel aged offerings.

Nice article and news segment on New Glarus, including some mentions of a forthcoming 25th Anniversary beer.

Not much new information other than:

Dan Carey says that New Glarus will soon be taking advantage of a great cherry harvest, and invites beer drinkers to look forward to a special 25th Anniversary brew.

Hopefully this doesn't just mean more Cherry Stout and Belgian Red.

Osage Orange Meerts. Very tart. Heavy citrus notes, not orange in traditional taste. Good. Fun tick.

Interesting tick. The citrus smell of the fruit doesn't come through the same way in the beer. Instead, it's somewhat medicinal. Not unpleasant, just interesting. Cool experiment. The mango/passsionfruit Meerts was quite tasty.

I am so tempted to swing over. I don’t have time to swing over. Also, I have a habit of pickinup R&D beers and not drinking them.

Would not be the first time I have R&Dd on the way to/from a Hanson concert.

I wonder how much of that they made. The last few ones have stated it on the bottle, but I don't see it there.

20 Years.
We are so grateful for everyone's support that got us to this milestone, without you, there is no us. Thank you everyone!
With our birthday comes our annual party, this year showcasing 20, our imperial stout aged 2 years in bourbon barrels.
For those of you with a ticket for tomorrow's festivities, and it is a sold out, ticketed only event, here are some final details.
Again, cash only, and 21 and over, you must have a ticket to gain entry. The doors open promptly at 3pm. There will be ATMs on site, but come prepared for a cash only event.
Free shuttles will be running from Stevens Point to the brewery. The pickup/drop-off points are: Guus On Main, Country Inn & Suites, Econolodge and Holiday Inn. All in Stevens Point. Shuttles begin running at 2pm at each location, and will continue running loops until the event ends.If you are driving, there will be parking in the field near the brewery, but we have had some pretty warm weather, and it could be sloppy. If you are concerned about that, you can park on the street in Amherst, just be prepared to walk some distance to get to the brewery.
Bottle pickup runs from 3pm to 7pm, you may pickup your bottles anytime in that window. As usual, bottle sales are in the main brewery building, and music, beer and food are in the barrel aging warehouse.
Now, our taplist for the 20th Anniversary Party! We have some mainstays, as well as some fun experimental varieties, including the preview of our new release next month, Rum Barrel Coconut Porter! Anyone else think this year's CW anniversary party had a larger volume of excessively drunk people in comparison to previous years? I basically swung in around 6 and said a few quick hellos, grabbed my bottles, and headed out. In that time I saw multiple instances of people dropping glasses/cups, accidently spilling on random people, and two people faceplanting because the beetus got their legs.

I think Lansman said as much in his synopsis that he posted in the FIB thread.

Tl;dr of my long post over there - worst of the Anny parties I have attended going back to Fifteen, line to get in, bottle line, merch line, other bottled beers lines fantastic, everything else significantly lacking. Not taking tickets anywhere else lead to the huge mass of humanity for the timed tappings (which, of the Vanilla, Boysenberry, and Blackberry that I had, were complete messes of beers - the IPA in Curacao was OK, nothing great), the VIP gauntlet was full of wasted folks immediately upon our entry at 345ish, the list goes on.
