Company is good. Beer is decent and food is above average IMO.lol
how's Company on Center?
Drive out west and go get growlers filled at Biloba or Raised Grain Brewing in Brookfield/Waukesha. Don't trust sherm1016 ever.
Is Discount no bueno these days, or do they just not have anything new to you? Will be at a bachelor party the first weekend in April that will start in Shorewood and will end with everyone crashing in rooms at Potawatomi, and was planning to make the detour out to Discount to grab some TG and whatever else looks interesting before heading home. But if it's not worth it, I'll just stop at the Cheese Castle for a few overpriced TG bottles, then hit Woodman's for the usual NG suspects.will be in Milwaukee Saturday/Sunday
what can i get there that i can't get in Green Bay? not interested in Discount.. been there too many times and walked out empty handed.

Do you get much TG distribution? If not pick up some Xhops Gold.will be in Milwaukee Saturday/Sunday

Discount is a must if you've never been. They have a decently large, diverse Shelton selection. Is Discount no bueno these days, or do they just not have anything new to you? I've only been to Discount once, and didn't get much of a chance to look around because one of my kids announced that she had to "go poops really bad" within minutes of walking in. I managed to grab a few TG bottles and a could Big Bad Baptists (won't make that mistake again) before rushing out of there to find a bathroom, but didn't get to look around at all.Discount is a must if you've never been. And don't give the Cheese Castle your money for their overpriced ****. Go east instead, to Tenuta's. They also get TG and Black Husky stuff.
If you do hit Discount, they have a smaller fridge that's mid craft beer aisle where they keep some goodies cold including TG.I've only been to Discount once, and didn't get much of a chance to look around because one of my kids announced that she had to "go poops really bad" within minutes of walking in. I've been to Tenuta's once, and didn't notice that they had TG as well...I'll have to look more closely next time.
Okay, sounds like I should still hit Discount after crawling out of the tub or janitor's closet or wherever I'll probably wake up after this bachelor party, and also Kenosha Woodman's for the cheapest NG around. If you do hit Discount, they have a smaller fridge that's mid craft beer aisle where they keep some goodies cold including TG.
And at Tenuta's, they may still keep the TG behind the counter with other limited stuff. It's been a few months since I've been there though.
If you feel like going a bit further off 94, there's also Timers in Racine.
Black Husky
so, so good. no hype, no "ZOMG FRUITS", just good beer.
They are moving down to Milwaukee soon. So I'd suggest getting some before they have to dial in at the new facility with that Milwaukee water that might be slightly less pure than the waters of the northwoods.so, so good. no hype, no "ZOMG FRUITS", just good beer.

And you forgot they're cheap too!

I know very little about Belgian beers, but I'm definitely going to spend some time perusing the imports this time.Discount is can't miss. Their imports section is better than most Binny's. I am a sucker for German and Belgian beer though. The domestic stuff is like your average good craft beer store.
It does indeed have some good water, but a different water profile will drastically affect hoppy beers. I hope it goes smoothly at the new facility.Milwaukee water is some of the best water in the country, srsly. If they have issues, it won't be with water.

I see you're from Shorewood...the reason I'm up in WI so much is because a couple of our closest friends live a couple blocks off Capitol by Atwater Elementary. I'll be up there in 3 weeks for a bachelor party that'll kick off at Three Lions on Oakland before moving to some cigar bar on the west side, and then Potawatomi.
Indeed! Sounds like you're familiar with it?wait... Three Lions? on Oakland?
We'll either have a shuttle take us from Three Lions to the west side, or a bunch of UberXLs.That's a lot of driving for a bachelor party. I spent most of my bachelor party in Bayview at the beer bars.
I could walk to Three Lions from my house. Stop by Draft and Vessel for a beer before you head west. It's just a block away from Three Lions.
Like was mentioned, if you want interesting US craft stuff, D&V is a block away.
looks like a cool spot
Cool, but small. I don't think they've taken over the Waxwing spot just yet.
Let's not forget expensive. They're generally $1-2 more per glass then you would typically see.
