It's like 7.5% ABV. It's delicious, but I don't love it on a brutally hot summer day.

I like that they're not using their normal hefe yeast. Hopster was pretty decent, but I just can't stand the overwhelming clove flavors in Dancing Man.

I think this will be banana citrus-y. American yeasty and American Hops. An evolution of Crack'd Wheat / Hopster perhaps.

ISO: Symposium Eisbock

Weatherdog isn't on here but Dan sent him a bottle of Symposium Eisbock a few years back after a conversation at one of the first New Glarus brewery only bottle releases.

Was so excited to come over and drink it and add it to his collection of New Glarus bottles (which is only missing about 3-5 when he last cared about it).

That is when I found out it was an empty bottle Dan sent...

sweet! figured it might take them a while to sort it all out.

had totally forgotten about it until this morning and thought i'd check their website since i don't have fb access from here.

Dancing Man is best ever stuff. That said, I will drink this.

How do you know that Dancing Man is better than Bubbler? Can I borrow your hot tub time machine?

I'm hoping that this is a less polarizing version of Crack'd wheat / Hopster. That beer was interesting, but the clove and citrus didn't play great together at times. Maybe something like Akari Shogun, but a little more wheat beer and a little less pale ale.

I'm surprised sherm1016 hasn't posted this yet, but it has been confirmed that New Glarus is adding a canning line, and 12 packs of canned Spotted Cow and Moon Man will be available no later that 2017.

Meh. Love me some cans as much as the next guy, but I have no need for a twelve pack of anything.

4 pack of talls? Yes please.

These are Talls

Granted 4 pack tall boys, or even 6packs would be better, I can imagine rolling up to a summer bbq with a 12 pack cans of Moon Man and/or Spotted Cow and pleasing a large crowd. Better than rolling up with 12 cans of Bud.

That (or boating) would probably be the only instance in which I see myself buying a 12 pack of Spotted Cow or Moon Man cans.

I expected the Central Waters lottery to take some time, but I figured folks would have heard something by now. Here's hoping we hear something soon, would be nice to start making plans either way for that weekend.
Got to sort out / discard the duplicates by hand. They don't have that AB InBev money to pay for IP address analysis, etc.

newglarusbrewingWe're so excited to announce we're installing a can line! We'll be canning Moon Man with Spotted Cow to follow. The team is working hard to get the machine installed and I'll keep you updated on can release schedule.
A lot of Wisconsin love will be going into those cans. The cans, the boxes, the beer, even the machine used to fill the cans! All made in Wisconsin!
