Yeah, the owner retired last year after almost 30 years due to health issues.
I guess some young guys bought it and remodeled the place. It reopened recently as “Roxbury Bar & Grill”. From this article, it looks like they turned it into another soulless sports bar. Kind of adds insult to injury...

A very belated update on the Roxbury Tavern, the new owners defaulted on the land contract and never paid any taxes, utilities, or insurance premiums. Tom Gresser paid them 3K at closing for taxes owed, and it seems like they just took the money and ran. The bar is in foreclosure now.

A bummer, but there's a fundraiser for Gresser to cover legal fees and nonpayment of the land contract. I always loved stopping at the Roxbury every trip up north, and was sad to see it end up this way.
