Going to be in the Dallas area Oct 7th & 8th... Anything going on that weekend or anyone want to possibly touch tips? Also any suggestions on where it may be able to find Yellow Rose & Jester King shelfies would be greatly appreciated.

Texas vs OU that weekend. Be prepared for lots of crazy College football fans and potential stabbings if you wear OU colors (by me).

So much anger. Don't you know #cocksnotglocks I wouldn't fear a stabbing by a utex fan, they only carry dildos these days. Actually, maybe you should.

And before I get banned, this is the result of a protest on the UT campus.

That is the dumbest ******* protest I've ever heard of.

A&M level ****.

The whole point is how it's pretty absurd knowing open concealed carry on campus is fine, but not a sex toy.

vvv right yes

Sorry to interrupt the dildo convo but I'll be passing through Austin Friday afternoon, is ABW blood orange IPA still floating around the south side of town? I need to find me some.

Sorta also related, but what's the Micklethwait line usually like, say, around noon on a Thursday (tomorrow)?

I've got some family coming in and want to get them some good bbq but.... to say they hate waiting in lines would put it lightly.

Likely non existent... I've been a couple of times and never waited in line for more than about 5 minutes (and this was Saturday).

Shouldn't be hard to find.

Line shouldn't be an issue especially on a Thursday.

Coming into Austin next Wednesday the 21st through Saturday the 24th. Staying in downtown as I have in years' past so will hit up Banger's and Craft Pride, and aiming to be at JK at 4pm on Friday. Any other bars/breweries I should visit?

I'd definetly put Austin Beerworks and Live Oak on your list of breweries to visit. New Oskar Blues might be worth a visit too, but I haven't been out there yet.

My folks were there last Friday at noon and it was apparently a ghost town. I think the only time you'd encounter any semblance of a line there would be on a weekend....

... until someone puts them in a top 10 list or on the Food Network. Then that place will be ****** just like all the others, lol.

Waller Creek Pub House. Another local focused place that is rather underrated given it's along dirty 6th.

Too bad you're leaving the 24th - Texas Craft Brewers Festival is happening.

Yeah, I've heard it's been pretty quiet there lately. Hopefully they are still getting enough business. They have been on some random Food Network shoes (I want to say Eat Street?). Maybe they'll start getting busier now that Mueller is gone again.

I live super closeby and randomly pass by on Sundays just to see what I could pick up at 1 to 2 pm. One time they were cleaned out, while this past sunday, they had everything but pork ribs available.

There are two consistently awesome no line places for me these days: Kerlin of course, and another bbq spot that I think is the absolute best hands down... except I'd only share that in person since there isn't much about them online, and it'd be nice to keep it that way as long as possible :)

I wouldnt consider them on dirty 6th, as Easy Tiger isnt and its across the street. Dirty doesn't really start until Red River, they barely made the cut.

I second waller creek as they also have a killer craft beer lineup whenever i go, and i need to go there and ET more, but im waiting for the north ET to land cause i hate downtown.

Downtown is the literal worst.

The Domain is my go-to now with Brass Tap, Yard House, and Whole Foods. And free parking and no hobos.

Good point, yeah. For me, lately I've felt like I'll walk into Easy Tiger, see a bunch of west coast/Colorado taps, feel uncertain on selection because of how old those beers could be, then go to Waller Creek instead.
