and this time around, i'm letting go of zero AR bottles. ****'s too good. made that mistake with not enjoying what i traded them for in the past as much as atrial itself, won't again.

however, i will BIF or gift them out because it's a habit.
Truffth! I don't trade JK anymore. Its too good to let go of haha

I've had Fou Foune plenty of times and prefer Atrial.... But that's personal preference. Nonetheless... FF goes for $30 or so... 2 Atrials would be fair.
You forgot to include the .rar factor of Fou Foune. Which is where the 3rd Atrial comes in apparently...

Either way I'm probably going to do at least 1-2 of the 3x atrial for FF. I don't even care for Fou Foune that much. I just like keeping my regular traders happy and that happens to be their favorite beer.

I haven't seen a 750mL of Cantillon in a store in years. But back when I did...sure
750's of the regular stuff I mean. Obviously St. Lam and Lou Pepes won't be going for $20 anywhere. I've never been sure of what a fair price for Vigneronne is though. IMO it's the best Cantillon I've had to date besides Lou Pepe Framboise.

Oh totally. I'm saying I haven't seen a 750 of CG, Kriek, RdG in years in NJ/NYC.

brewery prices, i have no idea. from the online retailers:

vig is roughly the same price as st lam, like, within a euro or so.

going (shipped) rates from the cheaper sites for 750s for the cg is ~$21, rose ~$27, kriek ~$25. they keep going up and up. some sites are marginally higher. also, the online sites have been ravaged to the point that you're going to be lucky to find either of these three in 750s. gone are the days.

The only time I've seen Cantillon in an actual brick and mortar store within the past year was in Louisiana last February. 750s of kriek were $32. Another place had Fou for $35, but you had to know the secret handshake no matter how many bagels I bought the guy wouldn't sell me one.

lol yeah the only time i've picked up cantillon in a B&M was also in louisiana, and after i had filled a basket with a few hundo worth of 3F OG... owner guy asked me if i wanted any cantillon, i said "sure, everything you'll let me buy"... came back with a 375 of classic in a paper bag and put it in my boxes while i was checking out. like i was buying a brick from a front or something, nervously looking around. no idea what he charged me, but the whole affair was pretty comical.

I also had a similar situation...

375 of CG was like he was doing me the biggest favor in the world. lol

it did. But apparently me and a few more people opened their mouths too much on Etre and the secret is gone.
Must have been very few as some folks I know that have been ordering on there for years and know the game well (just as you do), never even saw it.

I have no skillz in the Belgian beer game... lol

Like I said. I regret opening my mouth. I scored 2 FF off Etre last year. Right place right time. And I use my own tricks to get around their 1 bottle limits.

Sadly, I am too cheap to order from Etre... lol
Just reserve a few bottles at a time to spread out the cost. That's what I do. I miss having boxes of rare beers arrive every few weeks. OGVs, Fou Founes, Lou Pepes, St. Lam, etc. Jesus Christ I remember being able to score 8 St. Lamvinus one weekend. And then traded away about 6 of them. I suck at beer.

I stared at the Armand'4 gueuze set on biab for a while and to this day, I kick myself for not pulling the trigger. I am pretty bad at this beer thing too.

Meanwhile in Cali this week....

When does the cooler stuff usually come out?

Cooler stuff usually drops in the latter part of the year...

Cantillon only brews in the "winter" months and just sits on stock during summer... While they are famous for the "when it's ready" approach to the Lam's/Vig's/Fou's... expect to start seeing them late September - November.

And for what it's worth, I have no problem trading 3xAR for FF if it's 2012, 2.5xAR for 2013 is about right as well...

One of the item's on my beer bucket list is to be sitting at Moeder Lambic when the cask of Fou Foune comes in right off the line... When it's straight apricot juice.

I've been fortunate enough to experience Fou Foune on cask at Moeder Lambic. And you're correct, it was September. It was one of the greatest beer experiences of my life, right up there with the 10 year vertical of Orval at Kulminator.

Just going to Cantillon and having like five loons on cask was good enough. No need to be selfish here. I do need to go back. So September hmm?
