For example, I've had Biere de Miel and several of the citrus saisons already, and despite not being released yet, those beers are "ready", and just awaiting a spaced out release.
Would be nice if they grouped more releases so we didn't have to drive to buy 2 bottles of beer. lol

Gonna be in San Antonio area (Far West Side) visiting in-laws later this week. Is there anything like beermenus that I can search for the most likely place to find Live Oak Hefeweizen on draft, or is my best bet to just go to each bar's website? Any food recommendations that would be good with 2 smaller kids?

Probably going to do a trip up to a Salt Lick/Jester King combo next Sunday. Go to Lockhart one afternoon for bbq. Other than that don't really have any plans.

Freetail! Go have a pizza and some pints. They have live oak on as a guest most of the time. Jester King also had the Hefe on tap this past Sunday.

JK had the pils, not the hef on yesterday, if that's the "past sunday" you're referencing

;)

I'd go to Kerlin + E1G over Salt Lick, but I'm personally not a Salt Lick fan.

Craft Pride would likely have it, also try the SA Saucer.

Yeah, to echo air, I can't ever recommend Salt Lick. It's a quantity-over-quality type of place.

Gonna +1 here as well. Why have sub-par BBQ when you are surrounded by amazing stuff? Smittys in Lockheart is great. Blacks is hit or miss but solid too. Louie Miller in Taylor, Tx (North east of Austin) is a great choice too.

Just had to post this somewhere... Somebody on BA was ISO a couple Atrials in an IP trade in Houston and he was offering some Cantillon 375s FT (Flag Gueze, Kriek, RdG). I messaged him and he told me he bought the bottles for $36(!!) EACH, which is what he’s seen it sold for in the US, and wanted to go $4$ and would take 2 Atrial for one of them. Am I crazy or is this ******* nuts?

Cantillon 375s go for like $18 in the US. Tell him to go get ******....then trade me your Atrials

Atrial should fetch more than 1 375 of shelf Cantillon.

3:1 will get Fou Foune 750 done. Why on earth would I trade 2 for 1 375?!

Sounds like he bought his Loons from a place that is notorious for overcharging for them.

Just because he paid that doesn't make them worth that much.

Trading 3 Atrials for fou foune is pretty stupid IMO.

I wouldn't say pretty stupid, but the fact that you have 3 bottles vs 1 would have me leaning in the direction of Atrial vs Fou. Both ******* delicious (at least the 1 oz of Atrial I had that one time)

Fact of the matter is, if you're local you could've gotten six bottles last weekend. Why not give up have of that for a Fou?

I've had Fou Foune plenty of times and prefer Atrial.... But that's personal preference. Nonetheless... FF goes for $30 or so... 2 Atrials would be fair.

Fou goes for $30, plus shipping, plus you can't even find it. It's the most sought after of their "easier" to find beers, but by no means easy to find.

As far as I can tell, 2013 never even hit any of the popular sites in Belgium.

I have neither so I have no dog in this fight haha. Definitely boils down to personal preference though. In a perfect world, $4$ would be fair, but we're talking about a beer that's going to last 4+ weeks at JK vs something that's near impossible to find on an American shelf.

I only trade $4$ with people.... Availability means nothing to me as long as both sides are happy. It's beer, not an investment or commodities trading.

Yeah, but unless you live pretty close that gets annoying. I could try going three times in one weekend, but I've got other stuff to do. Twice a weekend is my limit ;)
After that, my addiction has won.

IDK enoguh about Fou to say anything intelligent, but I'll add that for me beer is an investment. Every bottle I trade for or cellar is something I'll open myself or to share later on. On that day, I need not buy beer in a store or bar.
Or at least I tell my gf that.

I have vines to make and stories to tell

having nocturn and atrial both available to go this past weekend got my lazy ass up there from houston.

and this time around, i'm letting go of zero AR bottles. ****'s too good. made that mistake with not enjoying what i traded them for in the past as much as atrial itself, won't again.

however, i will BIF or gift them out because it's a habit.

This is perfectly fine. I agree for the most part, but sometimes I'm willing to go over a bit for taste.

Both are very very good beers. :)

Both traders being happy are the cornerstone of trading.
