Nobi, Saucer Sugar Land, and Petrol got kegs this week. Supposedly a second round of kegs hit Houston, but I don't know where. I heard Hay Merchant has one.

They were named a page ago minus one place that is the same chain as the Flying Saucer Downtown just not in downtown Houston and Nobi which is also not in Houston.

Ill be in Austin next to convention center this week, any good Spirit shops for Whiskey like weller 12 or the rarer stuff even if a bit pricey? Everything in Chicago is gone in 6 minutes so seeing if I might have some luck in Austin. Thanks in advance!

Weller 12 is completely dry in the city of austin unless you can find a small place out of the way. It's been officially allocated by the two larger chains. Specs on Brodie or Airport, or the twin Liquors on red river usually have some of the best selections in the city though.

I know when i Cairdeas came to town years back the alcohol shop next to costco got some of that as did twin liquors in bee caves(where i got mine but that was when good old duke was running the show in store) neither of which help you unless you can drive and they got any of what you seek, which i have zero idea of.

It's a bit overpriced there at $32.99 or so... but South Lamar Wine & Spirits usually has it on the shelf unless they sold through a bunch in the last month. I don't think I've ever gone in there and it WASN'T on the shelf. Give 'em a call.

Well, Uncle Hoppy released details of their CBS tapping. I will be running a 50 mile race that day so will be missing out on this one. Hopefully I can catch the one at Nobi or SLSaucer. To all who get a ticket, enjoy the suds.

Yeah. It's really good. Don't necessarily trust it to not have infection issues down the road but it's good right now.

Awesome, bought 2 bottles and gonna drink at least 1 within the next 2 days or so. Hoping to get together with my buddy jeremy to drink the other. He keeps telling me DO NOT OPEN!! lol i think he wants to try it

It was by far the best ranger creek beer ive had hands down. And one of the better barrel aged anythings ive had that wasnt 25 dollars a bottle.

On the Abyss front, austin got some(and i mean SOME). Elgin specs in past years has gotten 7 cases and over the period of a month or 3 usually sells them all. They got 2 this year, i just picked up the last bottle. 1st case sold in a day. Pretty sure RR specs got around the same amt. 1 bottle limit at elgin.

I know the usual HEBs(well at least one of them) got their allotment, and per usual no limit, unsure how fast theyre selling.

east1stgrocery was the first one i saw to post up, and id imagine theyre out now as well, as they seemed to have had it a day earlier than most.

San antonio got Abyss this week also. Seen it at total wine and heb so far. Total wine is charging $16.99 and I think it will sit for a little at that price.

well, if anyone gets extras, id be glad to pay for them. Id lvoe to have at least 4 or 6 but it looks like unless i travel 2 hours or more, ill be stuck with one.

and ******* REALLY!??!?! why the **** would they not distribute more in austin, where, sorry to say, people dont let it just sit on shelves!!

although, ill admite the black butte series and not the stoic are still sitting around, but ive done my part! 4 or more of each!!! gah. i just cant win. i should be thankful i also am sitting on a BA Old raspy, but, but abyss is supposed to be eaasier to get.

Sorry for the rant but this is the first year i nearly missed out on the abyss because of distribution issues.

i could never get it before i was in texas and last year i guess i was a bit spoiled.
