Finally after 3 months with barely even coming to this website, I finally have a new batch planned. Just trying to express my excitement for the end of snow, and time to get into my lab (garage).

+1 I'm building a fermentation chamber so I can brew year round. No ac means it's too hot to ferment in the house.

I just got my brew kit about 2 hours ago. Want to start a batch tomorrow, but separated my shoulder thursday night, so cant lift anything heavy for the next 4 days.

Im itching to start.

Make one of your friends who's going to want to drink some of it come do the lifting. And feel better, hope it's not the drinkin arm.

I sort of dread summer brewing, it gets to 118°+ in my garage.

I try to brew in the fall, winter and spring, you know... when you are all snowed in.

I love the change of seasons because it means new styles! Can't wait to tap my first pilsner any day now.

What do you have planned for the summer?

I know it's a bit out of style for the summer, but I am going to start with an American Stout. I haven't made a stout in ages. I've been making lighter beers since I want to offer to my friends, but my friends and I are always too busy now to get together, I may as well make stuff for myself.

I brewed once when it was 90 here and it was awful. I literally dripped sweat into the batch.

Hey if you want to drink a stout in the summer, you should! If it's dry and not too big, it wouldn't really be a bad summer beer anyway.

I have a pilsner and a wheat ready to go, and an APA, IPA, another wheat, and a mystery hopped ale waiting to be brewed.

Who's snowed in?

It snowed last night and more snow expected again on Wednesday. I'm looking out the window at my garden and feel inspired. The garlic was up about 6" and the hops up about 1". Snow be darned! Let the summer brewing begin. Six empty kegs staring me in the face.
