I was listening to an old BN session with August schell and they were talking about the challenges facing these regional sized breweries. May not be a bad thing for Green flash to focus on a smaller distribution area. What are the odds they close down cellar 3??

I'm no fan of GF, but I don't want to see them fail. They're certainly capable of making some good beer, but whoever is determining their overall direction is doing it wrong. They've done extremely bad at trying to predict the market, and it's backfiring in the worst way right now.

• Bring back old West Coast IPA
• Bring back Rayon Vert
• Bring in a brewer that knows how to do sour beers (no one wants to drink that acetone ****)
• Stop trying to mass produce that poor excuse for Alpine

I agree 100%. I want them to do well and also keep being independent.

Green Cheek is making fantastic West Coast IPA & Lagers. They keep a nice balance of the trendy stuff to keep the masses happy with traditional delicious styles.

It's because Green Flash is largely a poorly run small business that made it big because of its quality product, not because they actually know what they're doing.

This is just so depressing. All those people that moved to Virginia are now out of the job, and something tells me they're not paying for them to come back to SD (if they want).

I know one is an opinion and one a "news" piece but the discrepancy in writing is truly obvious. Great piece DannyFullpint the westcoaster piece just hurt my brain the whole time.
