Just tried the Neopolitan Dynamite. Is that at all reflective of what the homebrew tasted like? It was pretty bad. Bitter, a tad smokey, some bell pepper, no strawberry. It was a mess.

Not sure why coffee would be thrown into a neapolotin inspired beer, but I was hopeful this would be an inexpensive, accessable Florida Pastry Stout.I didn't like the homebrew version.

Tiki Ti, Clifton's, and The Good Luck Bar are some of my favorites, though I'm sure there're others I'm not familiar with too!Paging Tyrsis, are there good Tiki places in the LA area? Also, how would people rank Socal Tiki (SD/LA/OC)? Spending the weekend in LA kid-free to see Hamilton, so trying to figure out what else to do.

shanrath named the best ones, but don't forget about Tonga Hut. OC has some places too, the original Don's, Royal Hawaiian, and I'd say that if you've never been to Trader Sam's, go at least once. It's kitsch at it's height, it'll put a smile on your face.Paging Tyrsis, are there good Tiki places in the LA area? Also, how would people rank Socal Tiki (SD/LA/OC)? The concept of a Neapolitan beer never made sense to me. People don't ******* eat Neapolitan ice cream by mashing all three flavors at once.Just tried the Neopolitan Dynamite. Word is they're releasing a Hitchhiking Ghost tiki mug this weekend to ring in Halloween/Fall.I'd say that if you've never been to Trader Sam's, go at least once. It's kitsch at it's height, it'll put a smile on your face.

I can't answer that for LA / OC. Only been to those once or twice. Can I do these places Anthony Bourdain style? #NoReservations
Any challenges getting into these spots?
What's feasible in 1 night, if hitting up 2 or 3 spots?
None require reservations as far as I know. Tiki Ti is always packed, but that's mostly due to it being a tiny space. It's also walkable from Good Luck, making them a doable one-two. Clifton's, which is downtown, is probably where you'll get the most bang for your buck. They have multiple bars, each of which has a different theme (the tiki area being the newest one). Good Luck's my favorite, as it's the only one of the three with the Chinese/tiki aesthetic. You can also see the interior in Hail Caesar!, as it serves as the location where Josh Brolin's character meets with the FBI.Can I do these places Anthony Bourdain style? #NoReservations

Societe's is good and dry with the right amount of malt backbone. They also just tapped Bachelorette Nelson and fresh Zwickel Heiress. Did I mention stein pours. Boner time...
Make sure you read up on how to get in to Clifton's...
Wait is that it? Why did I have to blow that doorman? Is it basically that we need to dress up really nicely, and go through a hidden door mirror on the 2nd or 3rd floor?
Hong Kong and Tokyo, while both in Asia, are fairly different cities...
It's understandable, considering both of them are in South KoreaHong Kong and Tokyo, while both in Asia, are fairly different cities...
Thought Heiress couldn't get better and had the Zwickel Heiress last night. So damn good!
I'll be popping a couple again this year. The one and only time I went to Bagby for Zwanze there were some bottles being popped. I remember stawn brought a good one.
Fruitallica, it tastes just like it smells, ******* weird. Yes, I was stupid and bought a bunch of Stone beers.
I was this close to buying Stone at Trader Joe's today, and then I saw sixers of Graveyards canned 09/05 and my decision became clear.Fruitallica, it tastes just like it smells, ******* weird. Yes, I was stupid and bought a bunch of Stone beers.
