I think it's neat testing the limits of what a beer geek will do. I'm not sure we've hit that point yet, even with this sunglasses stunt.

I think we're past that point.
Problem is those dont fit my giant head. Also those clothes don't fit my giant body. hahaI'd never spend $120 on sunglasses. I get all my clothes from Costco, Target, or Ross tho.
P.S. I get all my sunglasses for free. No shame in wearing ones that say Uber on them, etc.
My daily drivers are a pair of plastic wayfarers I got from a DARE table in front of the REI store.I'd never spend $120 on sunglasses. I get all my clothes from Costco, Target, or Ross tho.

Beer goggles?I have to wear prescription sunglasses... they are never cheap. I got Rayband last time and I love em. It would have been nce if they included a BA Stout in my prescription.
Beer goggles?

I really enjoyed last year's event but bummed there is no mamouche this time around. Excited about the new rhubarb offering though!

Hey TBer's. Just throwing this out there. I am gonna be San Diego on wednesday to Saturday for work. Haven't been to sd since I was kid. Seeing if anyone would want to grab a brew/show me a spot or two. I saw the sd visitor thread and was pretty helpful. Excited to checkout some new places. Hit me a pm if you around, thanks!
So in for alesmith saturday. Likely wait a couple hours after open for all the blacked out campers to leave. We are actually all bots and almost never leave our homes for fear of the outside/unknown. But as for saturday there are a few events around town going on depending on if you are leaving on saturday or able to kick it:
Mikkeller - miramar area - haze daze event and triple can release (all collabs, all IPAs, one with PureProject, one with Green Cheek, one with Pizza Port OB)
Alesmith 22nd anniversary - miramar area (literally 2 stop lights west of mikkeller), various specialty beers on draft including new double barrel speedway (bourbon/port) Very very very limited bottle release of db speedway before the sale on monday (very likely to be huge shitshow and early morning campers....so....there is that).
^^Those are where I will be, except the mikkeller thing I will be there friday to preview the 3 IPAs. Mikkeller is making it so that only members can preview, but we can obviously share / buy for public but it has to go through members (kinda like how Bruery does it).
North Park Beer Co - north park area - anniversary party, $10 at the door gets you a pin, anniversary glass and 1 taster ticket (can buy more)
All of this is on saturday
Edit: Depending on where you will be staying, I would recommend hitting up O'Brien's on wednesday in the kearny mesa area for wings and beer. A little tip, you order at the counter near the register and then sit down. The amount of ppl I see that sit down and leave after 15mintues and grumble about not being served is amusing.
Friday, as I mentioned above, I will be at Mikkeller previewing the new releases starting at about 4:30pm or so. Terrible time if you aren't already in the area because miramar eastbound traffic is close to feeling like you contracted super aids. But if you happen to be there, hit me up and I can get you the new collab releases.

So cool they do this for regulars, wish more breweries would do ish like this. Really shows love for the people that "keep the lights on"You should be there at opening so you can watch me walk right in and skip the line. Hehehe. I need someone to watch all the hate rays coming from ppl.
But yeah, small event at opening for the regulars....I think it even includes a small breakfast. Should be fun.

Still time to book a last minute trip to SF...Personally just planning on NPBC and Tiki Oasis on Saturday. Last Saturday was a bender, and I'm trying not to repeat that again...
The Abnormal sunglasses thing on SD Beer Friends was hilarious.
It's become an unspoken rule that any negativity towards Abnormal and say, Bottlecraft, will draw the immediate ire of the fanboys.
Also, quite curious how people will treat post-Derek Abnormal.
Eh, I'm not a fanboy. Derek is a cool guy. He did the collab he wanted to do, and entitled little ***** whined about it. I hope he does it again, just to make them angry. The Abnormal sunglasses thing on SD Beer Friends was hilarious.

Until the next brewery does something that ppl feel is really dumb.
Also to your last statement.. ???
If they keep churning out hyped adjunct stouts, they'll suffer a small dip in popularity but still sell plenty of beer. If the quality slips at all, people will abandon them. And of course if they say anything derogatory about Derek, people will give them the full Toolbox treatment. Also, quite curious how people will treat post-Derek Abnormal.
