Bottle Logic Number Crunch....garbage...tasted like overly burnt chocolate with booze from barrels attempting to mask that.

FOb3...much better than b2 off draft. Will need to crack a bottle soon.

Went down to Galveston today for a friend's bday party. Was nice drinking beer on the beach again. Was bizarre watching the sunset to the right of the water horizon.

While I wouldn't call NC garbage, I do agree that it was a huge letdown. Bitter burnt chocolate masks the delicious base. I probably would have preferred them not to waste all that FO on this bunk variant. FOMO on the other hand was quite delicious. Heavy on the coffee with a nice vanilla sweetness.

So my alesmith 40 has an interesting feature.... I had it on its side for the drive home and the bag was all wet. I turned the bottle upside down and beer just pours out of it.

So apparently you can pour some out for the homies without even taking the cap off.

I will be in SD August 12-16 (staying in La Jolla) on a vacation with a group, and am interested in putting some faces to some handles. I'll likely start a PM for those interested and notorious, e.g. drbenzo

I was hoping to join in for Toro Tuesday, but am not 100% on what that is (bottle share or hanging out with bar pours?) or if it's every Tuesday? Any info is appreciated.

Other than that, I'm with a group so can't run around everyday meeting people or checking out breweries, but will likely go near Escondido either Saturday or Sunday afternoon (I think my Dad would like Toolbox and it looks like Latitude 33 is nearby), and will likely have another chance to be closer (or lyft for tip touching) to SD proper sometime between Saturday night and Wednesday afternoon (and La Jolla every morning/night).

It's just a bad cap. 99% of them could be fine. I don't know. My special lady friend's bottle is prestige. Just hold it upside down and see if anything pours out.

The other bad news though is that I got a taster of it in tap. I hope the bottle is better.

Hate to ride this train, but opened up two Lost Abbey beers recently, Sede Vecanta & Oldest Viscosity, and got zero pop upon opening. #FlatAbbey!
